Chronomancer's 'Temporal Rift' skill does not properly reset ES values over 100% of max shield
Temporal Rift sometimes does not properly reset ES values to what they originally were, if they were over your normal ES cap. This might also occur with mana/health, but I can't personally prove/disprove that. I say sometimes, because the ES seems to be properly restored if your current ES and your previous ES are both above 100% of your normal cap. If your current ES is below, but your previous ES is above, you'll be restored to 100% ES, instead of the actual value you had 4s ago.
In the video below, I get hit from 5584/5020 to 3427/5020. I've watched frame-by-frame, and I was never at exactly 5020/5020. I then use Temporal Rift to return the ES I just lost, and I'm put up to 5020/5020. I then die to the second hit of the attack. In this case, I would likely have died regardless, but it's not hard to see that this bug can cause deaths that otherwise should not occur. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_nrtG_NWQo I am comfortable in calling this a bug, because the Temporal Rift description just says '...Energy Shield values', and nothing about percentages, nor a cap to restore to. Here's another example death that very likely would have been avoided if not for this bug.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RidIFrzPDIk In this clip, I get knocked down from 10120/5060 to 468/5060 in a few hits. I then cast Temporal Rift and I'm reset to 5060/5060. Due to a shock DOT, it looks like I'm reset below it, but I am reset to 5060/5060 for 1 frame. I cast the Temporal Rift at 6.033s. Due to the way that Temporal Rift creates afterimages, the actual time rewinded can be be anywhere between 3.750s and 4.000s. From 2.033s to 2.283s, I never dropped below 10120/5060. |
