Cortex boss rewards does not drop after completing

Cortex boss did not drop any items nor spawned the portal back after completing cortex. Right before Venarius went back into his map device, I've portal'd back to base during that period, but after I came in, no drops spawned even after waiting over 4 minutes.

Tried pressing alt to see if anything dropped, but no luck.

This was something added several years ago to supposedly prevent a duping exploit. Someone must be in the instance while loot is generating otherwise nothing will generate. This applies to Cortex, Timeless Conflict, and a couple of other specific instances where loot takes a second to generate and people will try to portal out during it.
