Closed Beta "Whale" Supporter

I was away for around 2 years and just came back about 3 weeks ago. I saw there was a PoE 2 available! YAY!

I joined a guild and bought a $480 supporter pack like I always do!

I played PoE2 and completely hate how that game plays. It can be early access or whatever all it wants but I've seen enough (reached T16's and was moving along in 45 hours), that game is 100% not for me and I would likely never play it.

So I started investigating what was actually happening, reading forums, news articles and Googling like mad as I was sure it wasn't just me.

Then I stumbled into this video apology where I found out apparently they are no longer working on PoE1 because all the devs are working on PoE2? (A game I will never play or intend on playing).

Embarrassing ... truly embarrassing. I've spent well over twelve thousand dollars since closed beta for PoE 1 in 2012.

You got me one last time GGG. Enjoy that $480 bucks it wont happen again. Also PoE2 is uninstalled, that game needs to go back into development for another 2 years before reaching Early Access again in 2027.

imho 2 years dev time for poe2 would be the best case scenario.

but i doubt that even that time will change the smooth console feeling of poe2 into the fascinating and rough pc game feeling poe1 once had. poe2 is a mass market game and players who also play shooters with aimbot supported controllers love it.

graphics are amazing but gamers usually look for more than having to position their chars right and aim into a certain direction from their sofa.

development on poe1 will hopefully be resumed at one point but after chris gave it up it`s not really clear into what direction we`re heading then.
