Is splash damage considered melee for increased melee damage nodes

I have physical damage is pinning on boots which does work with splash.

There are also some nodes which increase melee damage to immobilized enemies by 20% / 20% / & 50% (not counting the titan bonus), except I am not sure if I notice a difference when I enable these nodes.

It could be that the monster level I was testing this with was too low to notice a difference.

Pinned counts as immobilized.

Also in Path of Building I added bushwacker boots, a basic weapon, configured to have enemies pinned.

Without those 3 passives on a pinned target:

With those 3 passives metioned:

a 146% damage increase. Mind you, this is just a basic weapon, bushwacker and no other gear. So you might not expect that much.

Splash damage is considered AOE so AOE damage and effect would help it, it will not help the initial melee strike though.

So if splash is AOE and not counted as melee then the damage increase from the nodes will not work against remote pinned mobs that are being hit by AOE.

No worries I specced out of it into other nodes.

Thank you.
Splash damage is both AoE and melee, those nodes should work.
Initial strike damage is also AoE and melee.
Using different boots now but good to know thanks.
