Feedback: Phrercia

I am guessing this is not a simple matter. Balance issues, maintenance issues, fairness, and likely more.

Just the same it would be appreciated if my characters from Phrecia could be kept intact.

Perhaps in a parallel standard league for experimental builds?

I know that those who run leagues are a big part of POE and keep the game going financially. At the same time our community has a very diverse player base. Not everyone is the uber red maps in 72 hours of the league start date or bust type.

Some of us prefer the permanence of Standard, which is (perhaps) slightly mellower to play. Others never touch it.

I have been able to get a Paladin and Herald to 80+, giving a nice feel for them, I'd still like to get my teeth into the Ascendancies a bit more and try some of the others. I suspect others might feel the same or perhaps not.

I get where you are coming from, but it was always stated that it would be temporary in this regard. They've actually gone further with this than with the past events to my understanding. Allowing the progress to be parented into the settlers league.

They could do what you are asking for, but it gets convoluted running a bunch of partitioned leagues and also spilt the player base up further. I think they need to concentrate on getting back to solid regular leagues that has been missing for some time now.

I also am liking Phrecia would like to interact with the ascendancies some more in a sandbox league like you are suggesting, but I don't know that it would be good overall for the game.

Might be worth looking into how you can adapt your character when migration happens so you can keep playing it. Is there a list of which ascendancies directly correlate between Phrecia/Settlers? POB shows Paladin in the Champion location, but I'm not certain the POB position is the definite change over?

Ya I understand this is a complex and so very not simple situation.

I've looked at the reg ascendancies for Witch and Dualist - nothing seems to really line up but some are perhaps workable.

Yeah I see what you mean, there's probably not a close overlap.

Coincidentally, I'm making a character of this ascendency currently. Do you have any advice as someone who has been playing it?

If you mean Paladin, go for Light of Divinity then Elemental Valences, first or at least for my build which is melee heavy it adds about 40k dps when all 3 Valiances are out.

The lvl 30 grace is pretty uber too.

Of course depending on your build other things could be better or more important.

If you talking Herald, I went all 5 and while it works in low tier maps its a bit fragile. My focus was on Thunder and getting some pets out with Herald of Purity that also has Summon Phantasm linked.

If I were to redo I might focus more on the poison herald. Perhaps not.

Lightning Tendrils and Ball lightning are both crazy damaging with 5 enhanced heralds going.

I recently picked up a Ghostwrithe and got it 6 slotted, seems to be helping with being fragile. Glad I have 30% Chaos does not bypass Energy shield with only 668 life. I need (not that there is really much time left) to get some auto potions going to help with that.

Yep this one. I managed to get 4th ascendancy yesterday, think I'm doing something fairly similar to you. Agree with your analysis, it's fun and seem quite good for mapping, but think it probably does need to specialize on Hoag to be able to go much further.

I had decent levelling gear and used Ethereal knives which worked pretty well. Now trying wave of conviction to get some more damage.

Ball lightning sounds pretty interesting, interested to know if you can get the working.

I have a lot of skill slot free which is unusual for me, maybe I need a second skill. I'm thinking for tying to spectre in if I can keep them alive.

I'm using two Attacks plus Totems.

Arc totems with multi-totem support.

Lightning tendrils (though I also had tried Wave of Conviction early on) with cast on channel adding Ethereal Knives and Blade Blast. Total short range nuke. I could try WOC again, I just wasnt getting any charges for my poison creeper with it.

Ball lightning with volley and added chaos damage (to help the herald of agony build charges). This can clear packs of white/blue at range as needed.

Lastly Orb of Storms with Hextouch for curse delivery. Enfeeble and elemental weakness.
