Who makes/creates builds on POE 2?!?!

My friend is convinced the developers give content creators builds and what items to use to make builds because they want content creators to hype the game. I don’t think that is true and that content creators use Path of Building to come up with these crazy builds. Thoughts?

I've been playing this game since 2017, and honestly, I've come to the conclusion that there are specific combinations that perform best, and only experience gives you the ability to recognize them. It’s very simple: you understand how a certain skill works, you build synergy around it, then someone else does the same but better, you copy and improve it, then someone else watches and does it even better — and so it goes on. For example, I always start my builds from scratch, but then I check what others are doing and update my build to suit my personal playstyle. Now there’s a new update coming, certain builds will dominate at first, but in 3-4 weeks, different ones will take over. Why? Because people observe each other and improve their builds. And that’s exactly what streamers do nonstop — some more than others — but all of them copy what they need from each other. |

Have you heard about streamer poe client?
I tought it was a joke until upon some league release the login was almost impossible, but not for streamers - they logged in flawlessly. ALSO... Have you perceived as streamers get more lucky? you could say they play more and better... But by the time you reach the peak of the starter build the streamers used... you don't get same drop results Some streamers get like 100c in 2h at the start of season... Me repeating same strategy in 16h doing the same don't get 100c (Btw, I'm talking about lockpicking heist strategy) My conclusion... If this kind of things happens... I don't doubt they give some pre-made builds for content creator (as you see... they are their employees, not directly, but they are - just like uber and door dash) On side note... I saw some creators going starter build to mirror tier builds (like 7-8 mirror) in one day difference. And I'm afraid my post might get deleted, my account banned or something like that for exposing my POV. On the other side... Creators might do some RMT... because you know... it's their job and they need to make content (showcasing OP builds always get views) Knowing trading in the game can be a great advantage. Some leagues I just made currency sitting on my HO.. buying low and selling high So you might not need to play the game to get the best loot. Edit: More things here... People have been playing PoE for years. They have been creating builds for years through trial and error. They don't need any handholding from GGG.

No, sorry but no. Your friend is completely wrong and anyone would know that if they just took a second to think this through.
A content creator is no magician, they can't make a good build out of a crap item. Builds are made from creativity but it requires something fundamental to be built around. |

I assume the dev team gets paid well, so major leaks are very unlikely. |

I shouldn’t have said “he’s convinced.” He made the statement saying he knows video game developers and they told him that developers give content creators builds… but thanks for your input.
