"Area contains an additional essence" ... but area did not spawn an essence

It is as simple as the title says. I made a waystone which say "area contains an additional essence". When I went to use the waystone, I never got an essence in the map... It was in 'Hidden Grotto' Monster Level 76 (Tier 12 Waystone). The waystone had max affixes plus it was vaal'd which raised it above the normal 6 affix cap (i forget how many, but I do have a screenshot of the map with the affixes, though I doubt it is needed).

So, since the latest patch 2 days ago, I have been getting the infinite loading screen on both PC and Xbox. Maybe an hour or so ago, I noticed that I had not encountered an infinite loading screen for a while., so I pray that has been hotfixed... But along with the loading screen issue, I was experiencing Loot nametags moving all over the screen for some reason (on PC and Xbox). And now, I noticed that I didn't get an essence in this map...

What is going on lately?

I went from not having an issues with POE 2, to having a bunch of issues in the past 2 days. Hopefully GGG can figure out what is going on and fix it :)

Just now:

I put a map in the atlas, opened it, went to do something in the kitchen, came back and I was logged out. When I logged back in, all my portals were gone. I checked the Atlas and it said "Map attempted", removing the Boss + Corrupted mechanics on the map, as well as all the other map buffs...

I don't know what was changed but all of these map issues are getting really frustrating trying to play..... I've lost at least a half dozen maps that I can remember since the latest patch dropped and I don't understand why this is all happening...
