Mac PoE 1 Still Crashes

Running Steam version of PoE 1. It has been crashing on startup since December. Just updated to the latest version of Steam and PoE1 and it STILL crashes.
I have a brand new M4 MacBook Pro with 48GB memory running Sequoia 15.3.2 I'm guessing this will never be fixed. Last bumped on Jun 23, 2025, 3:25:39 PM

Yeah, I don't think they care. They're focused on PoE2 now, and grabbing as much money as they can, so they ignore a smaller niche audience. Yet they still claim to support Mac, which is outrageously unethical and reflects very poorly on them.

+1 I also have a M4 mac and cannot make it past the loading screen. 1/5 attempts it loads my character. But usually it fails the login.
This is using the steam client (idk if its better on the standalone client) |

With the latest update, PoE 1 now cannot even get to the login screen on an M4 Mac. I press the Play button in Steam and it says "Launching" and then doesn't even launch. Looks like PoE 1 is dead.
Reporting bugs for this issue doesn't help, just FYI. No one responds. |
