Abyss collision box makes pathing bothersome

The abyss collision box is either too large, or shouldn't collide at all.
The large size of the abyss pit collision box makes gameplay quite a nuisance. Since mobs spawn in all directions around the abyss pit, a melee character has to repeatedly visit all sides of the pit, each time pathing around the pit. This is ofcourse doable on open maps, but in narrow/close maps there can be situations where a dangerous rare mob can't even be reached with melee, pathing is completely blocked. Even on open maps, the collision box makes gameplay bothersome. The current workaround is to use a teleport-like travel skill to quickly get to each side of the pit, to close in on rare mobs, but I doubt that it's intended for melee characters who play abyss should need a teleport skill. I don't see any good reason why the pit should have collision at all, but perhaps that's an IQ skill issue on my part. I encourage your dev team to test abyss with melee character, I think you'd see what I mean. Last bumped on Apr 4, 2025, 8:42:29 PM
