Softlock in the tutorial (Riverbank)

My character is softlocked in the tutorial, with not being able to access the town (the red barrier does not dissipate)

This likely happened due to me "skipping" a tutorial segment by respawning on checkpoint, which I could activate "through" a river (so I skipped the "equip and use your skill gem" red barrier)

After killing the Miller, the red barrier will not dissipate despite the guy telling me to "Please come inside"
