Curse sometimes does not cast
Since the 0.2.0b patch sometimes my curse does not activate when casting. The animation still activates and the mana is used but the curse is not placed on the ground and monsters do not become cursed.

Same happens to me. It seems to have something to do with the curse position/angle as it mostly happens when casting the curse under my character. But it doesn't seem to by the only scenario based on OPs footage.

The uncastable area changes with my characters position and as you can see in Footage 2 the area is quite large. Footage 3 just shows that it doesn't happen at the same position/angle relative to character. " Yeah im realy fucked up. Same Problem here. Curse cost 300+ Mana and it doesnt cast, more then 2x in a row ... gamebreaking bug... cost are doubled when no schiel with lich .... god damn it. |

I just want to add my name to the list of people suffering from this bug.
It's pretty frustrating that it not only doesn't cast the Curse but also spends the mana cost (and if you're using support gems that add cooldown, it starts counting the cooldown). Curses become quite expensive later on. And since the point is to try to group monsters together for a big payoff, this bug ends up leaving you with low mana, next to a big pack of monsters that are ready to attack. Does anyone know if this bug is in their radar? |

I have the same issue. I'm so tired of of the fact that in the same ritual the curse can fail 5 times in a row, after which I will be stunnlocked and die.

I'm having the same issue. It's especially noticeable on tight corridor maps.
I self-cast curse with a large amount of AOE increase, not sure if that makes it worse. Very annoying though! The cast animation goes through, and the mana is consumed, but the enemies are not cursed and the circular curse animation that normally shows up on the ground does not appear. It's really bad in Ritual on tight corridor maps, as that seems to restrict the area even more. Even if you avoid placing the curse next to the wall or edge of the ritual encounter it still won't place sometimes. (by sometimes I mean about 30-50% of the time). Even wide hallways seem to do this at junctions, or for instance Halani Gates (where Asala "opens" them as you fight on the walkway) the walls there at some sharp V's can mess with things NEAR the inside of the V despite casting in what seems like a fairly open area of a "hallway" created by the free-standing wall terrain. I've cast in tighter quarters but a couple doorways and that V seemed to reallllly mess things up. Hope that helps GGG.
