Nothing to look forward to in 0.2

Main problem IMO

0.1 you had a lot of things you may want to assemble

Attribute stacker with Tempest Flurry
Spark life into ES into mana version
Temporalis

Now all the unique items are useless

Astramentis isn't useable anymore
Dream Fragments? Is a joke w/o archmage
Temporalis is now just useless, since it can't reduce Blink to 0, and it was the only use, not to mention even old Temporalis with modern builds would be useless... You will teleport into monsters and die.

In 0.1 you can start with some 1d bow and a HoWA and blast T15 until you can get more currency.

Last straw for me was watching Jungroan's stream.

He has poison build which was itself weird (you need to use multiple skills for trash clearing). But then he entered a map boss... And dealt no damage at all...

If this is what TOP player gets... What is even point of character progress? To be miserable on T15 instead of being miserable on T1?

Kinda sad really, I wanted to play spears. It had a lot of potential.

But until something is changed, I logging off. (Got to T3 maps. Clearing a map with "strategic gameplay" and getting 2 exalts per hour is surely... great game design. Pure suffering without rewards)

These are the type of feedback posts that make ggg ignore people.

They nerfed the strongest builds in the game, because they trivialised everything. That's not a bad thing.

Temporalis nerf makes the item balanced, not bad.

Explain how astramentis is now unuseable? It literally has the same max roll as before

Explain how dream fragments is a joke? It hasn't changed, and still had use outside of high budget archmage builds.

At this stage people are literally making shit up to be mad about, and no one is going to miss you when you "leave until something is changed"

I feel like the fact that your last straw was based on someone else's experience with the game is telling and aligns well with your definition of "a lot of things to look forward to" which is apparently copy-pasting cookie cutter builds from streamers built on a tiny handful of over-tuned Uniques.

If whatever GGG did has moved us away from the version of the game where everyone just sits around waiting for a half-dozen dudes to sus out which builds are the most broken so they can decide which one of those to copy, then I feel like they're heading in the right direction even if they are stumbling on the first few steps.

Stumbling? They are straight out face planting. To explore and figure out stuff it actually has to be fun and engaging. PoE2 is not, has not, and probably won't be for a long time. Mark called it out after .1 , game is crap and they know it. "The Vision: Jonathan Edition" is barely an arpg. To slow movement VS mobs, to low damage vs mobs, combos take to long vs a mob group that is all on speed. Dodge roll is clunky and the movement coming out of it is to slow and clunky. Trying to build all of the different character movement methods to satisfy everyone has resulted in one movement method "WASD" dominating over everything. Oooh you wanted to target the mob over there with you mouse? Sorry, best I can do is this other trash mob for your attack. EA is not an excuse for all the issues.

I know all gaming communities have their eccentricities, esp. among the subset of the players who are active on forums and message boards, but I swear I don't think any other game rivals PoE for the number of people who are so utterly nonchalant when it comes to stating what are obviously subjective personal opinions as if they are just universal objective truths that everyone shares.

Playing PoE2 has been, without contest, the most fun I have had with an ARPG since the earliest days of Diablo 2 and, yes, that is inclusive of PoE1.

When "all the issues" includes so many things that are very obviously not actually issues but instead fully realized, functional design choices that you just so happen to personally disagree with I don't think it really matters does it?

I'm the same here. I think the real issue, regardless of how much these people deny it, is that they want a clone of poe1 with new visuals. They don't want a harder, slower game, which is specifically what poe2 is supposed to be. Sure once you get full juiced gear and a levelled up toon, you are zooming again, but I honestly feel they will reduce that as time goes on.

I think the current game state is good - you have to work for things, and as a result you get a pay-off, rather than everything being handed to you and being able to watch YouTube while holding right click. These guys will argue until they pass out that there is no reward, but I think they are being dishonest and exaggerating to try to justify their anger that its not an easy game like poe1

Surprise Surprise, A few streamers that were good are now suddenly bad because of their stubborn zoomer plays.

I only listen to Raxx, the only level headed try hard it seems and the only really negative review he gave was on how Ascendancy's are very underwhelming when obtained and I couldn't agree more.

I wish the Diablo 2/POE1 addicts could just play harder instead of crying immediately, its pathetic.
