Character stuck in trial of chaos boss arena and can't leave

As title states, i killed the 2nd ascendancy boss but the door to leave the arena and claim rewards is closed. I cannot portal out, restarting the game does not work, waiting an extended amount of time does no remove me from the trial. My character is stuck in limbo... Please help.

got my character out, don't know what caused the bug though.
