gutted beyond recogntion (from "Non-Critical Lightning Damage is Lucky" to "30% for Lightning Damage to be Lucky") and not even on the patch notes

Not sure how that makes the node "gutted, given that it now works with crit as well, and is right next to 3 separate crit clusters. If anything it's buff, because now crit (which most people are going for attack) benefits from the node.
You guys are definitely trying your hardest to be mad about stuff. If you put this much effort into playing the game, you would be having a better time. |

" Hey guy, when you're through crying can you just walk us through the math here? Because at first glance I'm not even convinced this is a nerf, let alone "gutted beyond recognition." I'm not going to run the numbers myself, but it feels like builds with high enough Crit/Crit Bonus might be benefitting from this change? |

"the math here" is that bows have godawful crit rate so I only ever invest into crit enough to get my frenzy charges off sniper's mark for barrage but beyond that I'd rather not waste points investing into crit damage I won't use
So since bow users (probably the most common lightning damage users in the game) have no business running crit without a ridiculously high budget bow that has doubled base crit chance - Lightning Rod conveniently being close to the ranger tree -, the perk being changed from guaranteed lucky damage to 30% lucky damage is quite a big nerf Last edited by HighMidget#7101 on Apr 7, 2025, 3:28:46 AM
