Why I Dislike The New League

I'm in a guild, now since the patch we are all split between old and new league. Noone is playing together anymore. Why does there need to be a new league? I don't care about the economy it was fine in the old league.

I have to do everything all over again just to play with friends now. I also hate that they nerfed the old league and new league. The new league just reeks sorry guys, we couldn't balance the game right. Here you go, start over.

Even old league has problems. Guild members have broken builds now and don't know what to do.

There is not enough on the table to warrant a new league. I appreciate the patch but this new league is unnecessary.

you dont exactly need to start from scratch, you can use your standard characters/stash

as for having broken builds.

i really cant empathize. for sure the game is in a bad state but if you rely on build guides to play the game, then just come back when a new build guide is released.

thats the entire thing about needing a build guide to play the game. if you dont have one then just dont play it. since all their old build broke. dont play the game then and just wait for a build guide to follow.


as for old league vs new.

GGG was not happy that many builds overperformed. GGG let you guys have fun for one entire "league" instead of just nerfing them to the ground there and then.

as much as you hate it. it was bound to happen. and as for insulting. come on. its just a game. curse if it makes you feel better. but dont insult people.

poe2 was never meant to cater to poe1 enjoyers.

It's just a game with balance issues in early access that I paid for and I'm going to vent my frustrations from time to time. I personally don't have any build problems. I don't understand the appeal to the new league. I'm playing it because of the guild and didn't like having to start over. I've never played POE1 and never will. I didn't insult anyone for their decisions because I refrained myself from doing so.

There's no reason to have a new league. Wait tell the rest of the game comes out.

Always has to be someone that contradicts me. It's an opinion and I was initially frustrated by the new league. Other than that patch is pretty cool, still recommended the game softly.

New economy is very important. In the old league there was duping, farming abuse and eventually the market was saturated with the items to the point nobody needs anything anymore and the currency is worthless.

Everybody should be playing the new league for a fresh start and a new opportunity to end up in the "rich get richer" camp, rathe than the "poor get poorer" hole. Sometimes you start the league and fall behind by the time you start making the exalts they exalts are already worthless and all the cool kids are dealing in Divines, and you can't get any divines because you need money to make the money.

The new league offers everybody a fresh start at a level playing field, if you didn't strike it rich last time you might try again. Basically POE solves the late stage capitalism by having a great reset every once in a while.

There's nothing on the table for the new league. I had to start a character to be able to play with my friends on new league that I really didn't feel like doing initially. I know what I got myself into when it comes to making a new character. What I don't understand are comments that don't even contribute to the topic.

Maybe GGG should ban the botters that are ruining the economy instead of splitting the community between old and new leagues. There's no reason to play the new league unless you want a fresh start with a new economy. Not enough on the table to warrant a new league. They need to finish the game first.

I really don't need some random people trying to school me on what a ARPG is.
