Huntress Skills - Fangs of Frost

My main point of this thread is to ask for some way to proc the nova on fangs of frost without needing to parry. If I'm using a regular shield instead of a buckler or not using a shield at all I would like a way to trigger this skill because Its non functional without bucklers. Which is cool as a concept that you have this neat thing that you can do with the parry mechanic, but If there could also be a harder way to access the nova part of the skill without bucklers. Because I believe it should be 2x or 3x easier with a buckler because thats the main purpose of the gem. BUT I would reallly like a way to do it because i just don't get any benefit of the nova for my build.

There are some other things about the spear skills like mandatory attack time with rake / thunderous leap. So I was wondering if we could get a Support gem that removes the mandatory attack time and replaces it with a 10~ second cooldown or something. I really like those skills but my attack speed is so high on my Amazon that the skill feels rather strange to use.

I'm REALLY sad about Rapid Assault because its probably the one skill I think is the coolest one on the list and it just feels really bad as a skill for me. The damage is VERY poor on it but I guess the main purpose of the skill is to spam spear heads for explosions. I wish there was a transfigured version of this skill that could just be good for the damage on the strikes because visually that is the most appealing thing about the skill and not about placing bombs on the enemies. Maybe could we get some other skill that places the bomb on enemies and another skill that is just for multi-stab enjoyers?

Elemental Sundering feels a bit clunky to use and its another skill that just feels like it has a purpose to do something else rather than a MAIN skill to be used very often.

Finally some positive feelings about the spear skills
Primal Strikes seems really fun, Rake seemed nice but i think my build for that was bad on my Ritualist.


The projectile skills like Storm Lance / Explosive spear seem nice to use, I haven't messed around with Lightning Spear / Glacial lance too much but it seems nice, Spearfield is nice, And My friend has been playing twisters and that has been really cool to see.


Is there not a way to enable some spear skills to be used by Quarterstaves vice/versa ? or is that a plan for later development of the game? Gathering Storm seems like the most spear like skill but its locked on quarter staves. Maybe we can get a cool version of that for Spears? Theres a lack of a perfect timing skill for Spears which I really enjoyed from Perfect Strike and Gathering Storm.
