DEFILER MAP DEVICE - How do you enable? E: Solution --> Bind Menu to enable map device

I presume the icon in the middle, where the defiler is, is where you "click"
to activate the tracking of killed monsters in maps, or does this map device do that automatically? The defiler map device is not working for me (tracking the monsters killed, normal/magic/rares/uniques in maps - please help thank you.

Edit: I am unable to click on anything beyond the map device portion to insert my map/key - on console so if that icon (ocatagon) is to click to enable tracking, controller does not have functionality to do so. The same icon is present in my maps on my screen on the left, however it is closed - it is not as shown in the trailer/youtube vid for the dawn of the hunt mystery box mtx with the box/brackets that track kills, just the same small icon that is on the defiler's body in my hideout.
