Brutality support with contagion causing crashes

I think there may be an issue with this gem combo. Im using it to stop it from doing damage so that ED with intense agony support works. I slotted brutality and started getting crashes, where I was getting zero crashes before that even though a lot of people were having issues. I removed it and haven't had a crash since. I then heard Captainlance having similar issues on his stream as well and he stopped doing that gem combo.

I had the same issue, stopped lagging when i removed the support gem. I made a post about this also. Waiting for answers!
