support gem issue

Its my first time playing melee character in poe2 and i didn't research much before and not with patience to search if it is knwon issue

i got a lv2 support during act and was looking into what to put it and when i selected magma barrier on the left row it showed me 6 supports but all of them was blacked out saying THIS SUPPORT CAN'T BE SOCKETED INTO THIS SKILL.....
what the fuck ggg??? can i socket this gem into your dirty ass instead??? or maybe stick into jonathan's nose deep enough to enlighten his brain with the powers of the gem???

i know it must be something wrong and probably if i engrave the gem and go equip it will work fine but i was irritated enough having to play melee because most builds i like to play was just fucked up enough and then this kind of bullshit happening is enough to bring me here and start cursing devs for minimal issues

but please understand that it is minimal things like those that accumulate frustration and in the end makes ppl go bananas like me now
