map reset after death, completed map

start situation:
map completed (e.g. Boss killed) but some side content left over, like expedition.

If you then die, the fog of war is reset, all mobs are killed and the side content can't be found/completed. This is very unfortunate, because I often leave the side content after the boss, because I'm not sure if I manage both. So first complete the map and then challenge the rest, then dying results in loosing the side content.
