Endgame Progression Feedback
|
Overall, I thought the changes were good for the game. We have some extra things to do on the maps, the changes to the towers were good, the redesign of the maps improved many of them (there are still some terrible and huge ones), among other improvements.
However, some things remained bad or still need adjustments in my opinion, below are some of the things that I believe need adjustments: 1) Speed of the monsters: I know that some adjustments have already been made to the monsters, but on my first map with ok items I was immediately surrounded by a troop of enemies and killed on a Tier 1 map without mods. I believe that it still needs adjustments. The map was Steppes. 2) Atlas progression: despite the improvement in the quest to advance in the Atlas, this made the progression itself much slower than before, which is contrary to what the community asked for. By having to complete Nexus and also Unique Maps, progression has become practically RNG, causing many to be playing at Tier 15/16 but without completing the Atlas yet, which is quite discouraging, especially considering the improvements in some atlas nods that make the map's random activities better and more rewarding. I believe that instead of the main quest being just about clearing corrupted areas, it could be a great introduction to the endgame with quests to complete (in any order, perhaps an objective board) and as you progress and complete the objectives, you will earn reward points, below is a suggestion: a. Complete 3 Tier 1 maps – 2 points b. Complete 1 Tier 1 Nexus (with 2 mods) – 2 points c. Complete 5 Tier 4 maps – 2 points d. Complete 3 Towers and use 3 Tablets – 2 points e. Complete 1 Tier 7 Nexus (with 4 mods) – 2 points f. Complete 5 Rituals in Clean areas (at least Tier 7) – 2 points g. Complete 10 Tier 10+ maps with 4 mods – 2 points h. Complete 5 Breaches in corrupted areas (at least Tier 10) – 2 points i. Complete 10 maps using Delirium Distillates (at least Tier 10) – 2 points j. Complete 10 Tier 15 maps with 6 mods – 2 points k. Complete 5 Tier 16 maps with 6 mods – 2 points l. Complete 3 Logbooks lv 75+ – 2 points m. Complete an Audience with the King – 2 points n. Kill the Expedition Pinnacle Boss – 2 points o. Kill the Breach Pinnacle Boss – 2 points p. Complete a Simulacrum – 2 points q. Complete 6 linked maps – 2 points r. Complete all 3 Citadels – 2 points s. Kill the Arbiter – 2 points t. Complete all 4 floors of SANCTUM – 1 point u. Kill the Ultimatum boss – 1 point 3) League Mechanics: I believe that stalling progression behind bosses is a bad thing, even if they are easier. It takes ages to gather the simulacrum and breach shards, and the drop of audiences with the king and logbooks (which also depend on a second layer of RNG to find the boss inside) is also quite random, and it's something that only starts to drop “efficiently” late on the endgame. Until then, we're forced to play the activities without much juice or progression. I recommend that the initial points of these activities be distributed with other objectives involving them instead of just killing the bosses. 4) The endgame additions were good, but that orb/whisper (don`t remember the name) that you have to keep following is quite monotonous and the loot isn't good. Most of the talisms are useless in many builds. I'd like to see improvements in drops from possessed enemies, eventually with a chance to drop items with fractured mods. Wishlist for patch 0.3: • New league mechanic with its own atlas tree (2 would be excellent) to have more activity options beyond those we've been used to doing since the launch of early access. • More variety of unique maps and an increase in their frequency of appearing on the map. • Highlighting of corrupted areas from a distance on the Atlas to make it easier to find the right path. • Possibility of corrupting a specific area of the map by adding a nexus. • More variety of common/regular maps. • Rework on some maps that are excessively large and have many paths. • Scarab-like items to further customize activities and eventually the regions of the map. • More unique tablets. • Act 4 in the campaign – at this stage of the game we can't stand repeating the 3 acts 2x per character anymore, maybe having 4 acts and going straight to the endgame will be more enjoyable for the next patch. • New class – Druid • 2 Druid Ascendancies + 1 Monk + 1 Mage + 1 Huntress • New uniques • Some currency sink to reduce currency inflation in the late endgame. • New Skills • Tier 4 support Skills • Unique Charms • Increase players movement speed while not in combat after 3 seconds. • Include the possibility to add mods on logbooks • Include the possibility to find shards, fractured items, and other rare currencies on rituals. • URGENT Stash tab of fragments (runes, ascendency keys, catalysts, talismans, omens, etc).
