Infernalist - Fire based builds lacking damage ?

Hey there, so i have started this league (DoH) with a passion build i always wanted to make happen, the idea was shower the map with fire using firestorm with cast on ignite, and using solar orbs to trigger 100% ignite then later added flameblast to use on the solar orbs.

The issue is i'm still lacking lots of damage, i feel like ignite is very weak also most of the fire skills deal very low damage compared to other elements and bosses takes long time to do.

Thinking about spliting between chaos and fire damage and see where it goes next or just switch to minions as this ascendacy is only used for minions apparently based on the builds in the internet.

(took 80% of the elemental / fire nodes on the tree close to the Witch, bought wand with decent spell and fire damage increase and + level of fire spells)


P.S: I use Pyromantic Pact with Seething Body + Less max mana and increased cost of skills to keep the highflame effect up most of the times.

Any suggestions about Infernalist fire builds close to this or should i give up?

I'm not a specialist of fire builds, but i tried to play with them last league, so here are my thoughts :

1) I do not think it is a good idea to use firestorm with cast on ignite. The main reason is you can have only 1 firestorm at a time.... "cast on ignite" could allow you to spam another skill, if used properly, but spamming firestorm is a little bit useless ^^

2) If you want "cast on ignite" to trigger often, you have to find a way to remove ignite on your targets. Firestorm can do it, but there is other ways to do it.

Try out incinerate, it takes some investment but is pretty good.

You could go for chaos conversion with using 1 or even 2 blackflame rings or just go for conventional fire damage with fire exposure.

Using blasphemy aura with double curse is recommended. You could go for cast on ignite too i think. I am messing around with incinerate on standard with my stormweaver and it is quite nice.

There is even some recent and good build guide somewhere on youtube. Search for incinerate lich.
