Pathfinder concoction build nerf

First of all, thank you for the recent updates after the release of 0.2. It is great to see that you actually listen to the community. The game is still great, in my opinon. Obviously right now is has some aspects that needs polishing. 0.1 was the best experience I have had in my recent years as a gamer. And I think it has potential to become the best ARPG of all time. I'm writing this post to give feedback on the nerfs to pathfinder concoction builds. The change to the concoction skills to require unarmed has made it so that most persistent buffs and herald skills are unusable with the skill. I think this, coupled with the increased charges consumed, is a bit too much of a nerf. Overall this lowers build diversity quite a lot. Moreover, there are three other reasons why I think concoction should not have any requirement or at least require a bow and quiver: 1. Passive Tree The passive tree has close to none unarmed passive node cluster, which means building around concoction has very few scaling opportunities. Before we were able to scale off our bow and quiver - please bring this back. 2. Unarmed requirement is weird Why was the requirement to be unarmed implemented? Because from a more realistic point of view, when playing any other character, I am fully able to drink mana flasks when I'm literally armed to the teeth with weapons and shields. Why is my pathfinder suddenly unable to wield any weapons while throwing a mana flask at the enemy? It makes no sense, as we are able to drink potions while wielding weapons. 3. Unable to utilize herald skills and other persitent buff As said above, I'm unable to utilize my spirit currently. This forces me to sawp in out of weapons constantly, which just feels bad and clunky. I hope this change gets reverted, as I have bricked about two characters so far because of the massive amount of nerfs. Thank for reading this. Last bumped on Apr 15, 2025, 1:40:08 AM

No idea why they made Concoction skills have insane scaling and completely gutted our ability to run them on league starts. Then they nerfed it from the top end down instead of making it more viable when you first get the ascendancy, and less viable in the late game.

Using bows and quivers to abuse additional projectiles is exactly why the unarmed requirement got added. And it works the way it does since that's the way it worked in PoE 1. You still have plenty of generic physical/attack/AoE nodes on the passive tree to scale with.
That being said, it was a very thoughtless change that didn't consider that Heralds, for whatever reason, require a martial weapon. That requirement definitely needs to get removed/changed, it makes Concoctions feel miserable. And I do agree that the nerf to charges was very unnecessary. |

" Sure, using bows and quiver for scaling was good, but not nearly as good as many other builds last patch. But they literally nerfed the build in every aspect. We should at least be able to use Herald skills with concoctions! Im fine with them taking away the bow and quiver for scaling, but at least let us be able to use Herald skills with it. |

Worst part is that it is the core skill for a pathfinder. There is literally no reason to play a pathfinder otherwise. Deadeye is just better.

" As infernal flame nerf, minion nerf, poison nerf and alot of other stuff. But people don’t realize how deadly nerfs was in 0.2 for 99% of mechanics and builds. For now only spear builds are viable.
