Yoata, the Loathsome on Backwash
Her leaping, dashing, slam attack AoE is much larger than it was in campaign so that threw me off. Not only that but trying to dodge roll out of the way, if you're off by even a pixel (must dodge to the side) she takes you for a ride and hits every slam. Feels unfair and unfun to die when my roll timing is good and my cursor is away from her path.

I can confirm that she will basically stunlock and oneshot you if you aren't a ranged character. The design of this boss is extremely unfun and your success as melee either requires you to have enough HP to take one-shots (almost impossible for my build), or you have to just get lucky she decides not to stunlock you with a really boring and unfair roll slam mechanic in an arena that is exactly the size of her AOE.
I just died three consecutive times despite dodging perfectly. Not fun in the slightest. One of the core game designs of POE 2 seems to be that "difficulty" is "arbitrary death, on repeat." You can't square that with the idea that combat is meaningful. Eliminate deaths that aren't skill based, or allow us to at least easily spec defenses that prevent deaths. |

GGG claimed how they were inspired by Elden Ring, so this boss was probably "inspired" by certain boar rider, who has a charge attack plain not dodgeable with a standard roll:) You may have a chance if you have light (longer) roll with absolute perfect timing, but most of the time people just pick teleport (blink) weapon art to get past this boss.

Seriously though, you probably mean +X difficulty version of yoata boss, which means GGG lazily buffed some numbers on every boss skill without regard to how it will actually play out. They did same with poe1 uber bosses and T17 maps. So they won't see it as bug, it is "a real challenge", e.g. a dps check now.
