Lost chests in phaaryl megalith

I completed this map which is a boss gauntlet. After maybe 8-12 bosses I was ready to go sell my gear. I had several "chests" to open still. I was full on loot though, and when I went to portal I got the message that I couldn't port during a boss fight. So I walked back to the original portal I came in on. When I returned, the rest of the chests were gone. Relogged and they were still not available. Pretty bummed, I have no idea what could have been inside but it was a LONG boss gauntlet, and I feel I only walked away with a fraction of the loot I was supposed to.
