Rapid shot on controller monster explosion bug!

I'm playing on a controller and every time Herald of Ice or Zealous Inquisition procs it interrupts Rapid Shot and the characters animation goes back to the crossbow being down.
The high proc chance results in small bursts being fired and the downtime being too high making that build unplayable especially in mob dense areas.
