Game uplayable: mouse and keyboard input are not triggering skills

I can't complete the opening tutorial because I can't use any skills. A click or keystroke that is bound to a skill does not activate the skill. I'm playing a mercenary with the initial gem skill bound to right-click as well as the E key, but right-clicking or pressing E reloads the crossbow instead of firing.

I can only move with WASD movement. Switching to mouse movement, I can't move the character at all.

The audio is also sometimes glitching out and making a clicking sound which sounds like a small segment of a loop repeating.

Restarting and logging out and in have no effect.
