Can we have some love for Essence Drain + Contagion builds?

After some hours doing maps it's already so boring to spam contagion then ED then despair then dark effigy then run around trying to keep alive waiting mobs to die, while my deadeye friend is just running around with his rhoa one shotting everything. Is there a way to at least add some way to cast ED + Contagion together or get the same effect using a item or gem? Contagion should have a bigger area and we need some way to multiply the damage

It would be nice at least if mana didn't run out for one combo and you didn't have to just wait for regen if contagion hasn't spread to another pack.
