Scavenged Plating uptime

Let's say you broke the enemy armour, if you're continuing your armour breaking attack (splinter support for example) then you will not be able to refresh Scavenged Plating buff, because for it to refresh you need to break the armour, but its already broken and youre just keeping the armour broken without ever letting it reset so you can't break and therefore refresh the Scavenged Plating buff
Please do something about it, maybe make it so that continous attacks that break armour on broken armour enemies will refresh or add duration to the scavenged plating buff? Last bumped on Apr 16, 2025, 5:58:24 PM

As much as I hate to admit it, the game’s intent is clear: build to break, consume the fracture, then start the cycle all over again.
Within Crossbow, High Velocity Rounds is your best friend for cashing out. Not elegant. Not clean. But functional. Good luck out there, Exile. You’ll need it. |

I don't know where you're the "clear intent" but the devs can easily be wrong about things and miss things just like how they went back and buffed how much Scavenged Plating stacks you get by breaking armour, just like that they can easily change things. Right now in boss fights we often have long windows where we can't refresh the buff, and I'm very positive that they're balancing armour with the buff up so if that is true then they should change the way it works in some way so we can keep the buff up

[Leap Slam] and [Sunder] are two skill gems
+ [Exploit weakness], [Battershout] and [Syzygy] are support gems that can alter skill gems to consume that FBA debuff... and you can start reapplying armor brake. |

A noticable change.
In 0.1 each stack ran on a different timer. Now seems you can keep on 10 stacks if you time killing minions... Not sure if this is the intended way, but if your build revolves around it, you can upkeep 10 stacks without issues in both patches. |

Syzygy doesn't consume the broken armour. Battershout would straight up be detrimental because it would consume the armour before HotGs land. Exploit Weakness is something you could use yes. So combo on my build would be: heavy stun > infernal cry > seismic cry > hammer > wait until hammers land > then a skill with Exploit Weakness to remove the broken armour. Won't link Exploit Weakness to hammer because only the first hit would benefit from it, the aftershocks wouldn't.
But I admit I did not think of consuming the break armour at all, so thank you for the idea. Now I see that it can actually be their vision of how it should be played. After all I still hope they would change it so we can refresh it somehow without breaking armour |

" Syzygy is my bad... But you still have options. There are skill gems that increase armour brake value. Gems that can turn skills into armour brakers (% of damage brakes armor) And if you already starts with a heavy stun maybe in your build theres the gem Devestate that fully breaks armor when you heavy stun with the skill... Currently I have sort of fun by found Corpsewade unique boot that gives Decompose by walking near corpses. (10% of corpse max life is poison cloud) And I added corrosion gem (80% of poison brakes armour) But I am a warbringer with most of my skillpoints on armor brake nodes and Anvil Weight, so its not really an issue to brake armor once consumed. Dont even think it would be too difficult otherwise either, because I only pick up the skill thats in the way for the more benefitial ones. |
