You said 2.0 was a whole new game, nope

If the end game is worst than that that first act the designer team refused to ease up because you want the first chapter to be "be this high to ride this ride" concept then maybe your saving me futcher pain. In 1.0 at least I made to end of act 2, this one burn. 32 attempts at act one boss, only to lag death on 25 percent health unnnh That's two days of trying

I tried to get Gud (bah)

I watched youtube builds, wow look it, notes, burned on the advice. So much for getting build.

I didn't play the huntress, too exploited in cheats. Played monk

tried ice build

tried electric build

I watched Johnathan's interview ouch, did not feel like this is going to improve. Felt the hate. You are like Veilguard of the arpg's, you came of a smashing sucess only to kill the mojo, not with woke but with contempt for casual gaming.

Oddly that's okay. There is a market for this misery or souls wouldn't have been popular. Peeps enjoy the pain, I hope they continue to do so and have fun.

so trying to be consrutive, instead of a rant my opinion

pro's

beautiful scenery -kudos artists
engaging music, atmostphere - great job
grouping - easy
animations -top notch
voice acting -well done

Con's

Stability
punishments for dying
reseting zones
resetting bossees and zones
Lag
drop rate
focus on improving in peacemeal
stubburn to bend out of your vision
horrible public relations - (you need to work on this)
contempt for casual players
belief that people enjoy hard gameplay 24 / 7
I guess some do

so that leaves find another game, sad, but people have said this game is not built for casual players and those without the time to commit.

I do wish you luck.. I hope somehow you pull it off.

I will stop playing, but will be watching the player counts and keeping an eye out for POE1 on the boards. You never know, it might survive. There you did well, you just lost the formula somewhere on the way.

advice

Put a power cap on builds, at end game they are too strong, I watched the get guds do it. They dont even dodge, they are walking bombs killing everything skpping through maps

You need a fixed DPS cap on all builds so they can't do that, it looks bad, like they are playing you for chumps.

if you want it slow, then, well make it slow for all I guess. Then no more exploits.

Peace, and have fun

Oh and for those itching to put in a sarcastic "Bye" No need to, still be here to bring enlightenment to anything you post on forum. It is hard, but I can't let you struggle, and the forms is a great place to keep a pulse on poe1 and think the build cap worth fighting for.

I think it is worth trying, save a lot of exploit headaches

Unless he abandons "the vision" there's simply no hope for the game.

And that's ok.

Place Mark in charge of PoE 1, update the graphics, add WASD and then just leave a skeleton crew on PoE 2.. Jonathan and one intern can continue on with "the vision" and everyone else can get back to having fun and enjoy a good game.

It will fail big time, just has a chance for the casuals when they drag the campaign even 20 hours more with act 4-6.

Endgame is already doomed, mobile atlas, slog of long boring maps with hunting rares for completion, no chase uniques, no build diversity because of a railroaded gem system.

I would say the vision is done, 3.26 please next
Even if I don’t fully agree with the OP, I completely understand that casual gamers make up the vast majority in any game. And on that front, we’re in the same boat — we all just want decent progression. Especially during the acts, which should function as a tutorial for the endgame, not a 30-hour endurance test.

Every player should be able to get through the acts without too much pain, because some people are only here for the story — they don’t want to spend 20 minutes massaging an act bosses into submission like it’s some kind of sadistic ritual.

As for the zoom-zoom gameplay complaints — the issue isn’t that things were “too easy” or “too OP.” The issue is: there’s no actual endgame. The highest level for any content is 82. That’s it. That’s your grand finale.

i like delve and hoped the poe2 atlas would promote more of an alch & go mentality instead of high investment. well, whatever they created fails spectacularly at being engaging.
I wonder how many hopium ppl have.

This downfall of poe started from 3.13.
And from then ruthless plague burned to ashes and killed more and more fun. Not many of it already left in poe.
Yes, I agree that from 3.13 or so, it started to go downhill.
They sold out.
They stopped being honest, communicating, and listening to what people want.

Still, PoE 1 could be a good game, but they don't invest much into it anymore.
And PoE 2 is pretty much done, they improve one thing, or another, but look how they speak, laughing at terrible game D4 or PoE1, when PoE2 is completely trash. Their ignorance is crazy tbh, but dunno if they care that much anyway, since they are working for Chinese, not their own Company.
Underserved. All bets are off.

Anyone else confused by "2.0" being used to refer to PoE2?

'Cause 2.0 was the patch that added the fourth act...
