What’s happening with the disconnect issue, where all inventory is LOST!!!

That’s an instance crash.

There wasn’t an issue with your connection to the server; the server itself had a problem, and so you got disconnected because the zone you had been in no longer exists. As the crash was unpredictable and not a ‘graceful exit’, there was no opportunity for your loot drops to be written to the database. Anything that only the instance server had been aware of, effectively, gets “forgotten”.

If you ever get a drop you really don’t want to lose, change zone - e.g. portal back to your Hideout. Once you’ve loaded into a new zone with something in your inventory, it’s safe from instance crashes.
