Corrupted Nexus Map Restart

I was doing a Corrupted Nexus map. Did all the Rares and headed to the boss.
I was able to beat the boss and then he dropped all his loot. After that the corrupted boss spawned. He was a little dicey and ended up killing me.

So I respawn and it says 2 tries remaining. However, the whole map restarted its instance. Its an empty map undiscovered and no trace of any monster, boss, or the corrupted boss. I also lost my boss loot.

When I go to the atlas map to find out What the hell happened, It shows that the area is cleansed but the quest to complete the corrupted Nexus tier map is still not done. Is this a bug? Anyone else have this happen to them?

Also Now I have to do another 6-10 maps to find another Nexus and do it all over again...
