No atlas points after clearing corrupted nexus

I am playing on Xbox series x
I am missing atlas points, I recently got to end game( and the description of what to do to get atlas points is frankly terrible, I had to look online to figure it out and saw that you need to complete a corrupted area with a map with at least 4 mods but the quest log just says complete a corrupted nexus so which one of these is true? And why doesn’t the game explain you need a 4 mod map if it’s what is actually needed?please make the quest text very specific on what you want me to do)
I went to a corrupted area and cleared the nexus by killing the boss that appeared after I killed the last rare, at this point doryani appeared and I got the drop for the 2 atlas points. I then moved to another corrupted area and to the nexus( this one had a boss icon on the map above the node so it was a boss map, I completed the map as I did the first time but nothing appeared after killing the last rare! I then killed the area boss and nothing happened but say map completed. I had done a yellow tier 2 map with 4 modifiers( which online information tells me you need to complete a map with at least 4 modifiers why doesn’t the game tell me this it just says in the show quest section of the atlas ‘’complete a tier2+ corrupted nexus” so I’ve done both of these parameters!)
I didn’t get any atlas points yet the area is now white and cleansed instead of red and corrupted.
I don’t understand what the game wants me to do as it’s not explained clearly, and if I have done this correctly( as I have if the online information I described above is correct) then where do I get my atlas points?
Please investigate and retroactively apply the atlas points as these aren’t easy to come by, at least in the earlier league you just had to complete a certain amount of each tier maps and you didn’t need to try and path to find a corrupted area that could be a long way from you.

There needs to be an information regarding the mods mentioned on the main node itself. Also you only need to do 4 mods on the main nexus corruption node(big red icon). As for the not getting atlast points I got the same bug as you. I had a nexus map where it had map boss but in my case I died to the map boss 1st time and killed 2nd try so I thought maybe that's why the corruption boss didn't appear. Seems like it's a bug on a certain map that the area get's cleansed but you don't get points. Was your map an abyss map? The reason I'm saying a particular maps is because my brother had a map boss nexus and for him the corruption boss appeared. Also FYI any higher tier waystones will work for e.g if you have +2 nexus then any higher than 2 waystone would work. They are also going to make the nexus progression shorter in near update.

Hi can someone from GGG please explain EXACTLY what you need to do when clearing a corrupted nexus point to progress the quest and to get atlas points so that I (hopefully) don’t have an issue on my next try, as the game only states “complete a tier2+ corrupted nexus” and the reward shows something but I can’t see what it is, I can highlight it but when I press “a” on it nothing happens to show what the reward actually is. It seems from the person that replied to me that they believe you need a 4 mod map on the nexus to progress and get atlas points (which is what I did last time without receiving them) but that isn’t what the game states.
Please clarify who is correct. Kindest regards

It's the name of a map. when you're in a map that map has a name right? Mire, Augry, Vaal Factory etc +2 nexus means +2 corruption progress that shows up on your objectives. It's the 1-15 progression that you need to complete for atlas points.

When you reach the corruption nexus tier2+ means the waypoint needs to be tier2 or higher and there needs to be 4 mods on it. That's it. Once you get the corruption boss after killing last rare or the map you're done. Doryani comes and gives you the points. What you encountered was a bug and that might not happen again where the boss did not appear.

Thanks, so how do you know that you need to do a map with 4 mods? As I said if you look at the quest tab it shows “complete a tier 2+ corrupted nexus” not “ complete a tier 2+ corrupted nexus with a 4 mod map”, its very confusing when the game tells you to just complete the nexus with a level higher than the last one you did.thanks again.
