5% xp loss per death - can lose up to 25% on a single node
The change to the endgame to allow single map retries is most welcome, however you still lose 5% xp per death. Not sure if this is an intended side-effect of allowing map retry (based on how juiced the node is).
You can end up with a map complete but losing > 20% xp in doing so, which seems to work against the purpose of the xp penalty system. Assuming the intent is a maximum of 5% for a complete node failure, then the xp loss can be distributed across each fail. While there are many ways to do this the table below has the last death costing twice as much. deaths= 6 with retry= 0.71% final= 1.43% deaths= 5 with retry= 0.83% final= 1.67% deaths= 4 with retry= 1.00% final= 2.00% deaths= 3 with retry= 1.25% final= 2.50% deaths= 2 with retry= 1.67% final= 3.33% deaths= 1 with retry= 0.00% final= 5.00% Last bumped on Apr 21, 2025, 7:41:30 AM
