Finally did it, and it's cheap!

Lightning Spear clearing with Mercenary (Tactician) Shockburst Rounds. Best of both worlds. So much potential.

I’ve been running a very similar build on my Tactician! I’ve been able to kill most T3 pinnacle bosses with it, as well as T0 simulacrum. Single target has started giving me some trouble against T4 pinnacle bosses but that may be more of a gear issue. The variant I’ve been playing with uses banners for a big boost in clear speed

Nice, was going to ask for any suggestions to help scale the build but was looking at the banners. Heck, we have the spirit for it.

Usually I just spam the defiance banner every 5 seconds while mapping to keep up the move speed buff and zoom around, and the war banner comes out on bosses

Might have actually found an answer to, consistent, high single target damage. Someone made a suggestion on my video and it's running great. Working on an update, maybe (hopefully) some pinnacle results.

I am currently running Galvanic shards + shockburst, might give this build a shot.

One thing tho, you have "Fresh clip" support gem in your build. Isn't it still bugged? Last time I tried it, it was not boosting the damage numbers when reloading...

Same was running Galvanic + Shockburst. This is soooooooo much better lol, especially for tactician though I do have a 96 Witch Hunter and Gemling I might experiment with. I'd imagine the Witch Hunter would also do well.

No looking back once you get the Lighting Spear down, clears as-fast-to-faster than the previous stat stacking quarterstaff.

Have some ideas for Plasma Blast instead of Shockburst and Shock Lance for Lightning Spear I'm experimenting with.

As for Fresh Clip, I know the tool tip isn't updating when you fire the rounds, but it definitely does more damage to bosses after you reload so I think it's still working in some capacity.

Galvanic + shockburst is the vision, expect this build to get nerfed

Might be true, but I've done that on a Witch Hunter and Gemling, needs divs to mirrors worth gear. My Witch Hunter's packing a mirror worth of gear to even make it worth it.

I tried Xesht 0 last night with the Lightning Spear + Shockburst Tactician and he wiped the floor with me. Took me 10 attempts and I only won because of attrition, timed everything, wore him down. Problem is he's too lightning resistant and I couldn't generate Frenzy Charges, plus the Shockburst damage was just pitiful. Gonna redo some stuff tonight.

Clear speed on the other hand is still rocketing off, better with each map. Just gotta figure out the single target damage.
