No More Regional Pricing for Turkiye
Good evening, Exiles! As a Turkish player who was planning to buy "King of the Faridun Supporter Pack" this weekend i was left heartbroken by the fact that regional pricing wasn't there anymore for my country. Are there any explanation why GGG took this route? POE 2 reached the top seller statue in Turkish Steam page the day it has launched Early Access and Turkish players were not only cherishing the fact that we got regional pricing, we were also excited by the fact that we might even get a Turkish localization for the game.
I want to learn if GGG is planning a Regional Pricing for more countries in the future just like once they did before or they are still doing with Russia and Ukraine. This game by the bones is more of an engineering student type of game than anything else and as students it is really hard for us to keep up with these prices even though how much we would like to drop some money to support the devs and roam around with shiny MTXs. +1 for Turkish localization (I like seeing PoE in a language I don't understand now and then).
Did you try turning it off and on again?

the same routte happened to south america countries years ago, you will have to use your local currency to buy USD.. they don't want other currency than USD
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. |

Regional pricing is illegal in many countries. By that I mean that if you offer an online service in country A for price P0 and country B for price P1<P0, country A might force you to provide it for P1 because local laws consider such practice is discriminatory or not consumer friendly. As such it might be more profitable to put it globally at P0 if the purchasing power of country A is greater than country B.

" We were and still are buying it with USD through Steam nothing has changed in that matter so that has nothing to do with regional pricing. " Thats non sensical almost every game on Steam right now has regional pricing for Turkiye and every other country-zones since at least 8 years just like POE 2 had for 5 months. Only meaningful reason why would they have chosen this route after having regional pricing for 5 months must be people in Turkiye buying it cheaper and selling the keys for cheaper but thats should be manageable by making keys region locked. There is a passionate and massive potential and already die-hard POE fans in Turkiye and we literally want to spend money on this game but with these prices its just not possible especially after the latest political arrest that caused 50billion dollars to vanish in 2 weeks. |

They didn't even announce before doing this. A lot of people were planning to buy.
