Buckler too weak for a main playstyle- Ideas to fix.
So I began the Huntress this season and I really enjoyed the unique mechanics of using the bucket and gaining charges. But I quickly realized that in its current form it wasn't going to work for me. It takes way too much time for the reward and power it gives currently. I tried out all the A huntress moves and and combos and here's a couple ways I think it could be made viable for the long term.
First off it needs to be powerful enough to stand on its own. You need to be able to create a whole build just around the buckler. For example, right now you get 1 frenzy charge even if your block created 2-3 blocks on enemy's at the same time. I think if you created 3 block icons on enemies you should gain 3 frenzy charges when you flip backwards and hit them. Also when you flip backwards and create an explosion it should create bigger explosions and scale in damage per charge gained. This gives you battle field awareness, setup, tactics, timing and execution. It could almost stand on its own but then you'd use another move or two to empower with frenzy charges and keep going. Right now it's too weak and slow paced. I switched to Cull the Weak and I haven't looked back. Huge improvement in speed and effectiveness of play. Last bumped on Apr 25, 2025, 11:38:46 AM
