The Dark Defiler and Chernobog's Pillar - word missing in text- non-functional item?

I was testing this item for some damage numbers the math is off in game

"Gain 5% of Damage as Chaos Damage per Undead Minion"

I have looked over many different items and stats

They all appear as "gained as extra x damage"

Is this miss spelled and should be "gained as extra 'x' damage"?

The item Chernobog's Pillar

also has the text "Gain 1% of damage as Fire damage per 1% Chance to Block"

should it be "Gain 1% of damage as Extra Fire damage per 1% Chance to Block"? For it to function?

just hoping for clarification if these items are functioning as they should or the the error in the text making them not function as intended?
