Stuck inside of Ritual with no monsters alive

I completed the 3/4 Ritual altar on the map with the purple flowers. All of the monsters were dead but the Ritual continued and I was stuck inside the black barrier. The purple smoke hazard from the Ritual continued and my character was auto targeting the centre of the two smoke circles as if they were enemies. Had to reset the map and lose a bunch of content including map boss and breach that I hadn’t completed yet.
