"Trial of the Sekhemas" quest

"Kill Balbala in the Traitor's Passage in Act 2 and get the quest item Balbala's Barya, then talk to Zarka." I didn't pick up the quest item, or rather I picked it up and threw it away there, I can't complete the quest, because now the game thinks that I have this item, but it's not there and it doesn't drop again, is there any way to solve this problem, thanks
