Let's Talk Uniques...

I have been playing enough Dawn of the Hunt that my main is up to 89, so unless something weird is going on, I'm only running T15 maps. And the quality of Uniques I find is...well, underwhelming would be the nicest way to put it.

I know that 100 new Uniques were supposed to have been added to the pool with the update, but if you told me tomorrow that a programming mistake had made it so that none of those were actually added to any loot tables, I would not be surprised. I fought a level 79 or 80 Rogue Exile using that Unique Makeshift Crossbow earlier today, and that's just dumb.

Anyway, I think the .g loot changes are pretty good in general, but I find myself more frustrated by finding Uniques than excited. Am I just really unlucky? Outside of high-level versions of regular, low-level Uniques, I haven't found anything with a level requirement about 30-something.

I hate how GGG loves to shower high lvl characters with trash lvling uniques. Feels like a troll.

The real gold in POE has always been good rolled rares...

But yes, some uniques define builds, the rest are complete trash

99.9% of them are trash. I really don't get the meaning for adding them in game.

just because a build hasnt been made with it yet, that utilises it, doesnt mean there wont be a build that will use it.

look at Pillar of the old gods, people werent using it, then all of sudden they were, and it rocketed off.

look at Headhunter, people are actually using it now, and its retaining its value (this is cause they gutted Ingenuity).

Jungroan makes dozens of builds that just abuse different skill setups with uniques, some of the builds he makes dont get removed, just nerfed a little.

but it makes the uniques that everyone laughed at rocket in price.

a Piece of Coal can be a diamond to someone else with enough buffing/pressure.
