Things that grind my gears (Server Performance / XP)
First of all I need to clarify that I really enjoy playing PoE2. I am currently 800hrs deep into the game, since release of EA.
Patches and changes feel good, so does the game itself. BUT... Server Performance is really not that great lately. I tried Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, doesnt matter. The issues are the same. Constantly having lag spikes and disconnect issues kills the fun sometimes. Ping is around 25-30, I go to hideout and back into the map, Ping spikes from 25/30 to around 150, goes down, goes up and so forth. It feels like constantly stepping on the brakes and going full throttle in the car. It's hard to really play like that. Then there is the issue of disconnects sometimes. You are in a Map, get disconnected, lose the waystone, the map and the loot you found in the map. Just make me keep my Map node please. Losing Citadels that way aint nice. Something new happened today: Screen freezes, ping counts up to about 5000, then the game goes into fast forward mode - mostly into death. Last thing brings me to my last critical point: XP loss. Overall I am fine with it. But I feel like there is a point in the game where you just cant level further without playing a Meta-Build. Yes there are Omens to help, but you only have that many of those. In standard I managed lvl 94 and in Dawn of the Hunt I am at 92. There is always something that gets now and then. Especially dying because of a lag makes me wanna smash my Keyboard. On the other hand, being at 0% lvl progress makes me try more "dangerous" thing - what is to lose at this point? I cant come up with a viable solution that pleases casuals AND dedicated pros, but I think many players are at this point. Your fellow Witchhunter! Last bumped on May 7, 2025, 4:57:43 PM

" Absolutely the 5000 ping problem is not new to me. It’s hard to play more than it runs smoothly. I can hear the people now it’s your network or your system. If that were true I would have issues in other games but I don’t it’s just this one. It’s a server issue. |

Same here. I havent had issues in other games software.
I even had a monitoring software in the backround. Issue is most likely not on my side. |

And again. Died in Breach because of a frozen screen and then fast forward into death. Much fun, such wow.
