Game unplayable after new patch

Hi the game (POE2) has been terrible after the small patch, unable to play, frame rate has been rubbish, The network in the game has been going from 17 - 1000ms crashing the game, this is using fibre cable. Is there anything that can be done?

Are you using a VPN? Does this happen only with one gateway region, or several?
