Here is a design & logic concept for an Essence-based node on the Atlas Tree, located next to the existing Essence node "Crystal Lattice". ![]() I've introduced a new Essence node called "Fractured Bloom". This passive causes Imprisoned Essences to become 'Fragile'. Meaning the imprisoned monster breaks free after just one interaction, instead of the usual three. Downside: Fragile Essences cannot be modified with Remnants of Corruption. The Philosophy: The philosophy behind this node is to introduce a trade-off that appeals to players who value speed over gamble-based crafting. Without this downside, the node would provide pure power, which could make it a mandatory pick for all Essence-focused strategies. By introducing a meaningful constraint, players are asked to make a decision: Do they want to accelerate their Essence gameplay loop, or do they want to retain control over Essences, potentially enabling high-risk, high-reward outcomes? Alternative Downside: Imprisoned Essences deal 10% increased damage. This ties into the theme: If the glass isn't fully broken, it should still retain its full strength.
