So.. This is the GGG logic.

Good one. Now both games are dead. Last bumped on May 18, 2025, 6:26:17 AM

GGG have a sunk cost fallacy with PoE2. PoE1 has the uglier graphics, worse UI and "no WASD"; any new player will naturally prefer PoE2 to PoE1.
I hate PoE2 and love PoE1. PoE1 has about 2-3 "expansions" until it's in maintenance mode. Which is ok because I can probably play a classic version of the game at that point, which I've craved since the alienating Oriath Expansion. |

Pretty graphics and UI mean nothing if the game is deisgned to be as unfun as possible.

Please GGG dont let PoE1 die. Most of us love it and want to continue playing and supporting it.

" Wouldn't it be fun, if all the people calling both games dead, were not allowed to play them anymore? Like, at all? So when in fact they turn out not to "dead", they can't play the game they've so clearly ruled out? PoE has had doomsayers proclaiming the death of PoE for the last 5+ years (way before PoE2), and yet, they keep coming back to it? All I can say is see you in 3.26 and 0.3. Still the best games in the genre. |

" So the games can get even more dead? |

"Game dead" doesn't necessarily mean people believe it's going to stay dead forever. But as of now? It's dead - and it's only GGG's fault. No one is going to play a live service game where the developers show no interest in the game. Why should the players care when the developers don't?
If GGG show (with 3.26) that they really care, (some of the) players will return and the game will be revived - at least for a time, depending on the quality of the league. |

" Sadly there is a whole bunch of people that don't care about anything but pretty graphics and everything that isn't up to par gets labeled as "outdated". |

" Yep, its still unfun like dick-punch. Polski kanał globalny SSF

" And such people play those "pretty graphics: games for like a week maybe two, then forget the game exists because they are busy with new eye candy. Catering to such people in F2P game that relies on long-term support from playerbase is pretty good way to fail. Last edited by Aynix#7757 on May 18, 2025, 6:26:33 AM
