Companion Damage Modifying

Hi All,

Trying to figure out how/why the Inspiring Ally notable isn't working the way I imagined it would work. I read it as, any modifiers to my companions damage it also applied to me. Since Companions are Minions, and minions are allies, why doesn't my damage modifiers on my sceptre increasing its damage as well as mine?

Just looking for clarification. I was able to find a pretty sweet sceptre and was excited to build around it, only to find that it wasn't working like I had imagined.

Any ideas?

Tried it as well and didn't work. I'm sure its to prevent a feedback loop. Hopefully the devs address it and add it to the shared damage calculation. It seems like a missed build opportunity.
