Questions of ascension trials
I read a guide that said monsters give sacred water in addition to the fountains you can collect it from in some end rooms. But the ones you collect from end rooms, only one player gets, and I wasn't getting any sacred water from monsters as non-host. So is this broken in multiplayer?
Also, had 130 honor, walked into a room, immediately had 0 honor. Didn't get hit by anything. What happened? Last bumped on Jun 3, 2025, 9:48:43 AM

Okay. We did manage to get the first ascension done together. I think honor should be reworked, instead of each player getting their own set by hp + shield, it should be the combined total of everyone in the group ÷ how many members there are. I get you could cheese it this way having a high level so very high geared player coming in and giving everyone say 1k honor instead of 500 each, but playing this game mostly for coop, the current system doesn't feel great.
We did bring in someone to kill the last boss for us to be safe, since we had done 3 attempts at that point figuring out how the mode worked and just wanted to get our points so we could move on. Oh, also. My brother had been host for first couple ascension attempts. That was yesterday. When we went to try it today with him as host again, the relic altar was empty, not even his level 22 ascension token we got from the djinn, so we had to use mine. The relics from the altar were gone too. Do they just get deleted after a couple failed attempts? We definitely didn't clear on his token, so not clear on why that got deleted. I still had mine in stash then we cleared on that, and it got deleted, that at least to me makes sense cuz it was a successful run. |

" Are the shops even usable by players other than the host? " To add some context: as far as I know, if you receive an affliction which reduces your maximum Honor (such as the one which lowers your Energy Shield), the amount you're missing doesn't change. For example, if you went from 1000 max to 900 max, and you'd already lost 100 honor...you would go from 900/1000 honor to 800/900. " Relics don't get deleted, other than the unique relics--all of which say that they disappear after one run. However, the relic altar is character-specific. Just like how two characters share the same stash but not the same inventory, characters share the contents of the relic locker but not the relic altar. " The only time the token, the Djinn Barya, doesn't get deleted is when it's the quest item and you fail the run. The quest items are the exception to the rule. They can be used multiple times until you succeed, to not punish you harshly for failing while learning the ropes, and to make it reasonably certain that you can get your first few Ascendancy passives. |

Ah. So must not have noticed an affliction that reduced honor, then hit 0 from it on loading a room.
We have since found that everything the host buys with water is shared with the party. So not being party lead isn't an issue. With my brother not seeing his token when we started today, it wasn't in the altar. If you leave the trial with a token in, but not a run in progress, does it get to the stash or something? It was definitely the quest token and we hadn't completed it yet. Also, I've noticed the act 2 token says # of trials: 4. I thought that meant retries. I might be able to google what this means then, if wuest ones are infinite. Maybe # of rooms? Is there a way to die in a trial as nonlead, then get back in, the way other people can join runs in progress? |

" If you have not started the Run then the Barya hould still be in place. However if you indicated you were starting the run, even if you did not enter the first room, the Barya will be deleted (unless it is the L22 Quest one) " The number is the number of Rooms for the Run. Assention 1 uses the 4 Room run, but to get Assention 3 requires a 10 room run, a Level 76 or higher Barya is required for that. Barya's between L22 and about L35 are 4 Room, from L36 to L75 are 7 room and L76 upwards are 10 room. |

" Djinn Baryas describe the furthest floor you can reach with it. It sounds like you're talking about an Inscribed Ultimatum, for the Trial of Chaos. Inscribed Ultimatums come in 4 trial, 7 trial, and 10 trial variants, based on item level. Djinn Baryas variants are 1 floor, 2 floors, 3 floors, or 4 floors, also based on item level. K. Not gonna lie, just a little confusing when getting started.
So his quest item 22 definitely got deleted after we failed the 3rd time. Of course we can't check now since we completed the quest so would have been deleted then anyway, but after our 3rd attempt when it was no longer in the altar, it wouldn't have been in his stash either since it seems you can't put the quest ones in the stash. To respec ascendancy: Redo trial that gives same amount of points you currently have (so right now we have 2 so any act 2 trial will do), use NPC at end of trial to remove points in ascendancy tree, then use ascendancy altar to change ascendancy? He's decided to switch from fire sorc to a meta build to make things easier. Also, I have a level 28 token. Nonquest ones are onetime use? Any way to get lower level ones (ie. another 22) to make it faceroll to respec, or do you basically only find ones closer to your level? |

As far as the quest token getting deleted goes, I read someone on Steam who had the same thing happen to them. But apparently you can talk to the NPC to get a new one, infinitely, until you clear the trial. So I guess it isn't a bug, and just kind of a clumsy way of giving you unlimited retries.
