Ascendancy, portal to city

I just killed the boss to get my first ascedancy points and in the room after the boss(with chests and the other stuff) I created a portal to the city because my inventory was full and there was more loot i wanted to take. After I put my stuff away and wanteed to go back to get my acendancy and the rest of the loot I noticed that the portal didnt worked. I just couldnt go back. I tried to just do it again but i dont have the item to open the gate at the beginning anymore. What can i do?

If you're asking for PoE1, you can't leave the lab. You have no real choice but to run it again, and be aware that A: you should always ascend first before looting and B: there's a stash in the treasure room.

" Unfortunately, once you leave lab without touching the ascendency altar, you have to redo the whole lab. It's a legacy thing that isn't well explained if you're new. In the room before the boss, you should see a stash available for you. Just drop your stuff in there in the future so it doesn't get full. Create a tab called "map loot" and just use it as temp storage every time you have to do lab or you get full and want to get back to an area quick. unfortunately, back in the day, using a portal might have been necessary to refill flasks on some harder bosses. This feature was to prevent people from doing that or from people helping people skip the lab. For example, i could get to the final boss room and then have you portal in and i could kill the boss for you and then you would get the the points without doing any work. The feature is in place to prevent that sort of thing. At least that's how I recall it. |
