I hope mercenaries go core

I know it's too early to say this but the idea of having some one to play with without having to deal with all problems that a human player might bring is such a good concept imagine being able to have your own aura bot but don't have to pay them or have to rely on their availability it's such a simple league mechanic but it sounds so fun

I hate the fact that you can pick only one item from those mercanaries when killing them and that you can pick the item you want. It means every single time you find mercanary in the map, you now need to stop and check every single item they are wearing, decide whether they are worth taking, if there is multiple decent ones decide which one is the best to take etc.
I hate mechanics that break the "flow" of mapping.

I think when you reach the "uninterrupted mapping state", you'll only be looking for currency and those special items/gems - and only if you meet the Mercenaries of the archetype you're "looking for" and/or those special mercenaries. I think it'll be OK.

So you mean eventually you will reach the point where you completly skip league mechanic?

People have been asking for D2-style mercenaries for a lonnnnng, lonnnnng time.

I sort of figured we'd see something like this when they revealed Rogue Exiles and the Mercenary class in POE2.

I personally like the addition. Now you can min-max two sets for power on your character. As for going core, I could see it. It would help raise the bar for less experienced players and augment builds with the auras we've lost over the years due to RMR changes.

...can't wait to hire an Aurabot :)

If they turn out to be as strong as they seem to be I think it would be too much power creep for them to go core

Party play should’ve never existed in PoE. The game was never designed for groups. The only real use is cheesy abuse with bots and similar stuff. For 95% of regular players, parties are pointless and never used
