Does merc make me lose resolve or inspiration if he gets hit in sanctum? Cant find any info about this.

Too bad, because you wont get your answer before someone actually tests it in Sanctum after league starts. We didnt get answer to such question in any Q&A/interview/stream.

When minions get hit, you don't lose anything. I fully expect the Merc to function in the same way.
